1. Background
English colonized Indonesia for 5
years. during colonize, the English tried to investigate the origin of modern
Indonesia from the Netherlands who has been reworded Dutch. these sources have
considerable influence in a documentary about the varied activities of the
British in Indonesia provide valuable information about the country and its
people during the early phases of Western expansion into Southeast Asia.
therefore, our group will discuss about the source of modern Indonesia is the
source of the English colonization explanation at that time.
2. Problem
of Study :
a.
What
information obtained by the Indonesian students in the source of modern
Indonesian history of documentary material english?
b.
How
the process of finding information about it?
3. Sources
Furthermore, during the letter part of the Napoleonic warst
they controlled virtually the whole of Indonesia, and even after 1824, when the
Treaty of London obliged them to with draw from West Sumatra, they continued to
have commercial dealings with the northern and eastern parts of that island by
way of Penang and Singapore.
Because of the long domination of Indonesia by the
Netherlands it is too often assumed that the printed and documentary sources
relating to modern Indonesia history are all in the Dutch language. It is of
course true that, when considered against the vast Dutch literature.
So, the Netherlands only give little attention to such
information. However, the presence of a British documentary manuscript, then
Indonesian students can learn about the history of Indonesia. Although slight,
the information is very useful for Indonesian students in gaining insight into
the early phases of Western expansion into Southeast Asia.
